U.S. Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)

Collins for Senator issued the following announcement on July 15.

Senator  Collins Raises $2 Million in Second Quarter

Her total raised so far this cycle surpasses the money raised for her entire 2014 campaign

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins will report that she raised more than $2 million in the

2nd quarter of 2019, bringing her total raised for this cycle to $6.45 million.  She also will report having $5.4 million cash-on-hand.

With more than five quarters remaining before the election, Senator Collins already has raised more so far this cycle than she did during her entire 2014 reelection campaign, which she won by

37 percentage points with 68.4% of the vote.

“This is the first time we have passed the $2 million mark for a quarter,” said Finance Director  Amy Abbott.  “We are blessed to have an incredibly dedicated team of volunteers and supporters who made this record-breaking quarter possible.  We simply could not have done this without their help,” said Abbott.

“We are especially pleased that we have banked $5.4 million cash-on-hand.  We fully expect to be outspent by far-left special interest groups this campaign.  Nevertheless, we believe we will have the resources we need to highlight Senator Collins’ long-record of accomplishments for the people of Maine, including her efforts as a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee,” said Abbott.
