Graduates earn 184 degrees, certificates from Kaplan University-Maine Campus


About 46.2 percent of the 184 degrees and certificates handed out by Kaplan University-Maine Campus in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Portland conferred 48 certificates and 27 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in medical/clinical assistant. Data shows the school gave out 37 certificates in medical/clinical assistant, followed by 10 bachelor's degrees in health/health care administration/management and 10 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The university enrolled 627 students for 2017-18, including 517 in undergraduate programs and 110 in graduate programs.
