Census Bureau: More women than men in Calais in 2017


Of the 3,018 people living in Calais in 2017, 51.2 percent (1,545) were women and 48.8 percent (1,473) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Maine Business Daily.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 940-to-871. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 382 females and 233 males.
